ACO Agent Based Routing in AOMDV Environment

چکیده
Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a group of moving nodes which can communicate with each other without the help of any central stationary node. All the nodes in the MANET act as router for forwarding data packets. The nodes in the network also move randomly and there exists no fixed infrastructure. So, path breaks are the frequent problem in MANET. The routing protocol faces a lot of problem due these path breaks. Therefore, the routing protocol which is multipath in nature is more reliable than a unipath routing protocol. Ant colony optimization is a relatively new technique which is suitable for the optimization problems. AOMDV is a multipath routing protocol. Thus, if there happens to be path break, the packets can start following the new path which has already been selected. In this paper, we are trying to add ant’s agents into AOMDV behavior. In this way, the new protocol will be benefited by the dual properties i.e. of ant’s nature and multipath nature of AOMDV. The modified concept is simulated and the outcomes are compared with AOMDV, AODV and DSR routing protocols for few performance parameters. Results obtained are encouraging; the new algorithm performs better than traditional unipath and multipath routing protocols.

Implementation of Rank Based ACO approach with Load Balancing in Ad hoc Network for Multipath Routing Mechanism
Ad-Hoc wireless networks are self-organizing multi-hop wireless networks. Mobile ad hoc networks have some challenges like the design of an efficient routing protocol. The multipath routing protocol with load balancing provides a solution for the congestion network. Ad Hoc networks are setup as needed since they do not depend on the infrastructure. Ad Hoc networks are self–organizing multi hop ...

Mobile Ad-Hoc is a self-organizing network without centralized control, where each node acts as router to attain coverage over multiple hops. Routing plays a very important role. Some of the well-established routing protocols are AODV and AOMDV. Mobility results in disturbed routes thereby generating route errors and new route discoveries. Existing protocol like AOMDV computes multiple loop-fre...

Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) have recently gained considerable attention from both research and industry communities. One of the challenges posed by the study of VANETs is the definition of routing protocols design. In this paper, a realistic simulation environment is developed based on Mobility model generator for Vehicular networks (MOVE) and Network Simulator (NS2). The performance of ...
متن کاملCongestion Control in Multi-Flow Environment Using Multipath Routing Base in MANET
The multipath route establishment uses the method that discovers multiple multi hops communication between source and destination. Multi-path routing can balance the load better than the single path routing in ad hoc networks, thereby reducing the congestion by dividing the traffic in several paths. This research presents a new approach of Multipath Load Balancing with AOMDV routing protocol an...

A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) consists of mobile nodes that are capable of communicating with each other in multihop trend without centralized control and fixed based station. Multipath Routing permits the flow of data from source to destination over multiple paths through the network. In ad hoc network, basic goal of routing protocols is to efficiently establish a route between the pair of n...
